SFLRLA’s 2011 Noche de Gala | San Francisco Event Photographer

There was dinner, dancing, and big names at this event. Sounds almost like a star studded Hollywood event doesn’t it? This was all possible by the amazing work of San Francisco La Raza Lawyer’s Association (SFLRLA) President-elect Xochitl Carrion and the current board’s organizational and production skills! Held yearly at the InterContinental Hotel on 888 Howard Street in San Francisco, Noche de Gala is an awards & recognition dinner and dancing event that honors achievements in the Hispanic legal community. Last year was our first year as their official event photographer and for this year, and thanks to President Xochitl Carrion, we were invited back again to photograph this year’s event which also happens to be their 40th Anniversary! The keynote speech was delivered by newly appointed San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon. The invited guest speaker was U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, but unfortunately was not able to attend, but she did prepare a recorded video for those in attendance. This year’s Latino Lawyer Honorees were Professor Tino Cuellar and Victor Marquez. Other major names in attendance were San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera, California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris, San Francisco Board of Supervisor President David Chiu, San Francisco Board of Supervisor Scott Wiener, San Francisco Board of Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi, San Francisco Board of Supervisor David Campos as well as a number of Superior Court Judges.

San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade Pics Posted

We had incredible fun at this year’s San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade. Tons of people came out this year to celebrate “In Order To Form A More Perfect Union…”. There were lots of good food, excellent costumes, excellent floats, and great people to see. The weather was nice and sunny in the 80′s with nice blue skies. Southwest Airlines Chinese New Year Parade

At last minute, Eric and I decided to go check out the Southwest Airlines Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco. From what I’ve heard, this is the first year that it hasn’t rained, which makes it a good opportunity to get some pictures.

We scoped out a nice little spot at Montgomery and Market and fired away. The turn out was quite good and we had a lot of fun! Notable attendees were Betty Yee (Board of Equalization), Jackie Speier (California State Senator), Leland Y. Lee (California State Senator), Fiona Ma (California Assemblywoman), David Campos (San Francisco Supervisor District 9), Tom Ammiano (California Assemblyman), Sean Elsbernd (San Francisco Supervisor District 7), Bevan Dufty (San Francisco Supervisor District 8), Sophie Maxwell (San Francisco Supervisor District 10), Phil Ting (San Francisco Accessor Recorder), Jeff Adachi (San Francisco Public Defender), Kamala D. Harris (San Francisco District Attorney), Dennis Herrera (San Francisco City Attorney), David Chiu (San Francisco Supervisor 3), Gavin Newson (San Francisco Mayor) with his wife, Jennifer Siebel.
